We want to contrast educational poverty, encourage the inclusion and well-being of children living in difficult contexts, characterised by scarce opportunities in terms of training and socialisation.
We are present in Piedmont, Lombardy, Lazio, Campania, Sicily, Sardinia, regions in which 10 districts have been identified characterised by situations of socio-economic hardship.
The projects have the double objective of consolidating teenagers, especially the most vulnerable, and of empowering different local educational resources.
As for teenagers, we want to strengthen their skills and capabilities to enable them to be independent and assertive in various contexts, especially when they go from middle school to high school.
As for the educating community - a resource to facilitate the inclusion processes - we want all formal (teachers, social workers) and informal operators (families, volunteers, citizens, operators from public utility services, such as commercial operators) to participate to the process.
The work on educational poverty in R.E.A.C.T. is based on the empowerment of the educating community, which is structured in a strong supervision and connection with all the local formal and informal operators.
