How do you think we can advocate for social, environmental, but also and especially political change? What would you like to strive for in order for Europe to be a better place? What are the important questions you would like to ask the European Parliament?

The My Activist Revolution project invites young Europeans between the ages of 14 and 25 to reflect on these questions, with the aim of making them increasingly involved and aware of the political and social life of young Europeans.

Through activities such as workshops, national and European conferences and round tables, the project brings together young people from 4 European countries, Italy, Austria, Slovenia and Poland to exchange their views on EU-related issues and express their common demands. The project provides an opportunity for direct participation in the policy-making process and enables the identification of possible solutions and recommendations that are then compiled into the Central European Youth Manifesto to be presented to Members of the European Parliament.

Eventual activities

My Activist Revolution appointments are completely free of charge and are aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 25:

  • 4 local workshops: Bologna, September - December 2024. Creative workshops (as an example theater, digital storytelling, video, photography workshops) with the aim of stimulating the active participation of youth. About 20 places available for each workshop.
  • 1 national conference: Bologna, January-March 2025. A meeting dedicated for workshop participants to identify problems, gather ideas and solutions to improve our territories. The meeting includes an international online meeting between young people involved from Italy and another partner country (Austria, Slovenia, Poland). About 40 places available.
  • 2 European Youth Conferences and an Advocacy Seminar: Ljubljana, May-July 2025, and Warsaw/Krakow, November 2025-January 2026.  80 young people from Italy, Austria, Slovenia and Poland will meet and discuss their problems and demands across countries, focusing on the European political landscape. This process will use both creative methods to get to know each other better and find alternative ways to overcome language, age, gender, and other barriers, as well as discussions on youth issues and demands in order to find compromises and finally collectively draft the European Youth Manifesto. In addition, participants will also attend a Seminar on Advocacy. From Italy, a maximum of 20 young people per conference will participate.
  • Study Visit and MEP Roundtable: Brussels, January - March 2026. A study visit to Brussels to learn first-hand about the European institutions and a roundtable where young people will present the European Youth Manifesto to Members of the European Parliament. From Italy, a delegation of 8 young people will participate. The Roundtable will also be streamed, allowing other My Activist Revolution participants and their peers and friends to follow the discussion with European politicians.
  • European Activist and Advocacy Academy: Vienna, June-August 2024: will ensure sustainable civic engagement and participation for young people after the project. From Italy, a maximum of 20 young people will participate.

In addition, the youth activation process will be supported by the E-Democracy portal, a digital tool through which the young people involved from the 4 European countries will be able to exchange ideas, proposals and opinions even remotely.
